Admissions:
From the moment you enter the hospital for care, our goal is to hasten your recovery. Your first stop will be the Admissions/Registration Office, or ER Admissions.
Here, necessary information is obtained to assist physicians, nurses and support staff. If you are brought to the ER by ambulance, an admitting clerk will come to your bedside.
Although no one enjoys answering a multitude of questions when ill, it is vital to get the most complete and accurate information for all concerned, especially you!
To help speed the registration process, here are a few tips to follow when you come to the hospital:
-Let the admissions clerk know if you feel to ill to answer a lot of the questions and need to go directly to the Emergency Room. We can always get the information at the bedside.
-Give full, legal name- the same name you use on your insurance cards. Give date of birth, current mailing address and phone numbers, social security number, employer name and phone number, and contact name and number.
-Have all your insurance cards with you (i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, primary and secondary insurances). Also, be sure to have the insured's date of birth and social security number if you are not the policy holder.
-If you are being seen for a work-related injury, we need to know if it is Wyoming, out-of-state, or truckers. If not Wyoming Worker's Comp, we will need the worker's comp address so we can bill worker's comp properly. If you need a form for Wyoming Workers Comp, we can provide you with one. We will need a case number within 10 days of injury for billing.
-If an adult family member does not accompany a minor to the hospital, the minor should know where we can contact a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian for verbal consent for treatment.
-If you need assistance getting from the Admissions department to where you need to be, or if you need a wheelchair please let us know, and we will find someone to assist you.
Your cooperation in this process is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
