Employee of the Month: 

 

Jen

Jen is being recognized as January 2010 Employee of the Month.  Jen is originally from Sidney, NE.  She has been in Rawlins for one year and at MHCC for one year.  She is married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren.  Some of Jen's job responsibilities include purchasing, receiving, and distribution of merchandise.  The best part of her job is being able to see everyone.  There is always something that needs to be done, so she stays busy.  In her time off, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.  Jen's hobbies include playing Scrabble, reading, and cooking.  The most fun place she traveled to was Kearney, NE.  There, Jen was involved with the community theater and had a one act play competition held at the Minded Opera House. The group she was with placed 2nd.  It was a unique experience and learning the history of the Opera House was interesting.

Department of the Month:

 

Operating Room Team

The Operating Room Team is being recognized as January 2010 Department of the Month.  Some of their responsibilities include caring for surgery patients (pre and post op), ordering, maintaining and sterilizing equipment, and maintaining staff for 24/7 availability.  The department's goals are to recruit new physicians, increase the number of patients, and to oversee the OR renovations.  The staff participates on numerous hospital committees, such as SCIP, Products, and Vending Machine.  the OR Team stays busy outside of MHCC through local sororities, church activities, local charities, the Health Fair, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
