Emergency Medical Service-
Carbon County EMS is a full-time Emergency Medical Service. We currently have 12 full-time Emergency Medical Technician positions and 8 per-diem staff positions. We staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are able to provide ALS service throughout Carbon County.
We are located on Interstate 80, in the South central part of Wyoming. Our service covers over 6,000 square miles of Carbon County, as well as provide ALS assistance to our outlying agencies. We cover over 200 miles of Interstate and highways within Carbon County and surrounding areas.
Carbon County EMS is one of the busiest services along the Wyoming I-80 corridor. Our crews responded to over 1200 incidents last year. Carbon County EMS has 3 Ambulances, staffed 24/7. We respond to all types, shapes and sizes of incidents. Our service continues to excel in all areas of EMS.
Emergency Room Service-
Memorial Hospital of Carbon County Hospital is a certified Community Trauma Center. We are one of the busiest emergency rooms in the state due to our diverse county activites (snowmobiling, ATV recreation, boating, motor cross). Winter months carry our busiest emergency patient loads due to inclement weather on 125 miles of interstate 80 and numerous secondary highways. We are staffed with 24 hour physician coverage and experienced registered nurses and emergency medical technicans.
