“Friday the 13th was my lucky day!”

For the birth of her second child, Keishah Edwards (right) knew she wanted a hospital that would deliver great care, close to home. So, once again, Keishah chose Memorial Hospital of Carbon County.

“I had an emergency delivery with my first child in 2014,” Keishah explains. “My son, Kopen, was born prematurely at 31 weeks, and I received great care at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County.”

This time, the delivering physician would be Dr. Jennifer Motley (left), an OB/GYN with more than 20 years of experience. During that time, she’s delivered almost 5,000 babies.

“As soon as I met Dr. Motley, I knew she was going to be a great asset for our community,” says Keishah, who is the Staff Recruiter at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County. “She made me feel so comfortable with her warm and caring personality. Dr. Motley and Jessica Seldomridge (OB Nurse Manager) are both friendly, personable and very helpful. They made the whole process so relaxing.”

Baby Kimber was born on November 13, 2020, a Friday, at 11:52 p.m. Since the birth, Keishah has seen Dr. Motley a couple of times for postpartum visits. “I would recommend Dr.Motley to anyone,” says Keishah. “I’m excited about her future here at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County. She is truly a gem. Our community and this hospital are lucky to have her. And so am I!”
