Biography
Lance Petersen, MD, graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine and completed his residency at Utah Valley University. He is certified with the American Board of Family Physicians and is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Petersen believes that being a physician is a privilege, and he is grateful to serve the Rawlins community in the MHCC Emergency Department, providing services for major injury or trauma, cardiac issues, head injuries, major burns, seizures, severe bleeding and much more.
Dr. Petersen grew up in Idaho Falls. His favorite place is a cabin in Alpine Wyoming which his father built. He and his wife, Maureen, have three children and eight grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, dirt bike riding, white water rafting and kayaking, snowmobiling, and flying a small plane. His latest thrill is attempting to spear fish while on SCUBA!
He is excited to join the MHCC Emergency Department, where he will be providing services for:
