Dr. Abels was born in Iowa and raised in Arizona. He received his undergraduate degrees from the University of Arizona with a BS in Chemistry and Biology and a minor in physics and psychology. His stretch as a patient for 30 days when a senior in high school led to his decision to become a physician, he said. Dr. Abels has been a TV cameraman, a photographer for a newspaper, and resident assistant in chemistry to help pay for medical school at the College of Osteopathic Surgery and Medicine. He wanted to live in the west and loved Wyoming… so Rawlins became his home. He enjoys football (Denver Broncos and Wyoming Cowboys) as well as motorcycling. What he enjoys about being a physician is “being able to constantly help one person”.
I was born and raised in Kentucky but moved to Wyoming in 2012 to get closer to family. I graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2017 with a doctorate of nursing practice degree and I am a board certified family nurse practitioner that has specialized in non-surgical pain management. I’ve been married for 15 years and have 3 kids and I enjoy watching football (especially the Dallas Cowboys) and traveling. I have a passion for helping people manage their pain and really enjoy serving the Rawlins community.
Dr. Bryan was born in Louisiana, and raised in Powell, WY. It was while an EMT in Powell that he decided to go to medical school and become an ER doctor. His undergraduate degree came from Northwest Community College in Powell and then University of Wyoming with a BS in Chemistry. His medical degree was received from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE. While at Creighton, he became a Christian and has spent much of his career as a missionary and doctor as well as flight surgeon in Africa. Dr. Bryan enjoys spending time with his family, home schooling, and outdoor activities.

Dr. Crain was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. As a Wyoming native, Ashton enjoys the opportunity she has to serve patients in rural areas throughout her home state. She believes that better hearing is a process, requiring support and individualized care. Ashton is committed to working with her patients every step of the way to ensure they are educated on their hearing loss and receive an appropriate, customized, solution to their hearing difficulties. When Ashton is out of the office, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, painting, camping and snowboarding.
Dr. France was raised in Walden, CO. His undergraduate degree, a BS in Chemistry, was received at the University of Wyoming. He has worked in a lumber mill, as a pizza cook, and a golf course maintenance person. He attended the University of Colorado to obtain his medical degree, following the footsteps of his father who has been in general practice in Walden, CO for 35 years. Dr. France loves the opportunities to help people through his practice of medicine. He has enjoyed working in Rawlins “due to the challenging pace, and the great staff”. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, skiing, golf, and exercising.
Bob Keel received his RN at Weber State University and his PA-C at the University of Utah. Additionally, he has an extensive clinic background, and was one of only two students chosen to participate in an extended emergency training clinical experience.
He is trained to diagnose, treat, and manage patients in family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics and critical care. As a Physician Assistant, he specializes in the treatment of diabetes, headaches, common cold, chest pain, heart disease, well child exams, allergies and much more.

Peggy Lake received her Associate Degree at Eastern Kentucky University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University. She earned her Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Peggy is a Family Nurse Practitioner whose focus is the health and well-being of the entire family. She is specially-trained to care for a wide range of conditions including allergies, asthma, diabetes, hypertension, chest pain, headaches, weight management and much more.

John Lumb, MD, received his medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed his residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan.
A General Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Lumb is specially-trained to care for patients with elective and emergency surgery issues. His services include stomach procedures, ulcer repair, breast biopsy, endoscopies, general surgery and much more.
Born and raised in Rawlins, Wyoming, Mikesell began his medical career in 1982 with Memorial Hospital of Carbon County where he worked as a patient transporter. After graduating from Rawlins High School, he attended the University of Wyoming for a year before completing a two year mission with Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Mikesell then returned to the University of Wyoming where he majored in Microbiology. After transferring to Brigham Young University, he graduated with a degree in Microbiology and Pre-Med. He was then accepted to medical school at Western University/College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in southern California. Dr. Mikesell completed medical school in 1996.
Dr. Mikesell has built his career on family practice and urgent care, with over 21 years’ experience in both. In addition, he also has a strong interest in preventative medicine and sports medicine. He is trained to do spinal and musculoskeletal manipulations to help with back, neck and musculoskeletal pain. Dr. Mikesell also has a Buprenorphine Waiver which allows him to treat patients with narcotic addictions.
Dr. Mikesell enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and taking vacations with his wife, Leticia, and five children. He is very involved in the church and has a strong faith in God.
