Patricia Shue was born and raised in St. Joseph, MO. After high school she joined the US Army as a military police officer. After leaving the US Army, she settled in Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband and two children. When her youngest child started school, she started nursing school at Indiana University. After graduating from nursing school, she worked at Riley Hospital for Children (a large level one pediatric trauma center) in Indianapolis for 10 years. At Riley she worked as a pediatric Intensive Care Nurse, A Burn Unit Nurse and an Emergency Room Nurse. She was also a Pediatric/Neonatal flight nurse for 2 years. As a flight nurse she transported critically ill children from all around the state of Indiana to Riley hospital. While working at Riley she decided to return to Indiana University and earn her Master’s degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Her husband and she have always wanted to move out west. After graduating with her nurse practitioner degree they decided the time was right to move. They both love spending time outdoors, hiking, hunting and fishing. They chose to move to Rawlins because of the small community life style and the close proximity to the mountains and outdoor activities.
