“My care was all I hoped for and expected. We are fortunate to have this quality medical facility and its staff.”
— Judy Dixon

On December 30th, I tripped and fell, falling flat on my face. I dislocated my right shoulder, in addition to various other facial injuries. I then spent the evening, night, and next morning in the med/surg unit. I was monitored and cared for by that nursing staff and the attending hospitalist, Dr. Dinkel. I was kept comfortable and all were caring and concerned.
I was referred to the MHCC Orthopedic Clinic, where I was assessed by PA Bob Keel and an MRI of my shoulder was ordered. Two weeks later I returned to discuss plans with the Orthopedic Surgeon. Throughout this time, I was referred to Physical Therapy and had a prescription for pain medication, which helped a lot.
My choices were to continue physical therapy and treat the torn rotator cuffs and bicep tears conservatively for many weeks or to have surgery for repair of the injuries, followed by physical therapy for many weeks. I opted to have the surgery ASAP and returned to MHCC two weeks later. My surgeons were Dr. Allred, assisted by Bob Keel, PA. It is now 8 weeks since surgery, I am making the expected recovery with the help of Dr. Allred’s protocol and the physical therapists at Fremont Therapy.
My treatment and care at MHCC were all I hoped for and expected. My family and I have been treated at MHCC for decades. We are fortunate to have this quality medical facility and its staff, both employees and health care contractors.
All were excellent caregivers. Some were MHCC employees & some were contract professionals.
