Construction of the MHCC Health Center-Platte Valley is continuing upon receipt of a Building Permit
from the Town of Saratoga.

MHCC Administration and Board of Trustees have worked with Town of Saratoga Officials to ensure all
zoning requirements have been met.

MHCC CEO Ken Harman stated “we have had multiple discussions with town planners, officials, and
employees and have provided all additional information as requested. MHCC’s medical clinic complies
with the Town of Saratoga’s requirements, and we are excited to be able to begin construction with the
issuance of the building permit.”

MHCC attorney, Abbigail Forwood, stated “The Memorial Hospital of Carbon County was recently made
aware that certain Saratoga residents claim MHCC did not follow planning and zoning requirements. This
is simply not true. As noted by Mr. Harman, MHCC has worked closely with Town Officials in order to
ensure compliance with relevant codes and policies. Without doing so, the building permit would not
have been issued by the Saratoga Town Council.”

Memorial Hospital of Carbon County looks forward to a long-term, positive relationship with the Town
of Saratoga and residents of the Platte Valley.
