“I made the right decision for my shoulder surgery!”

When Patti Hays dislocated her shoulder, a friend took her to the emergency room at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County.

“The entire staff was kind, gentle and helpful,” Patti says. “They fixed me up and made an appointment for me the next day at the hospital’s Orthopedic Clinic. In the past, I would have gone to another hospital like so many people in our community, who go to Cheyenne, Casper or even Colorado. But this time, I decided I would go just for a consultation.”

At the Orthopedic Clinic, Patti (center) met certified physician assistant Bob Keel (left). “Bob was so patient and compassionate,” Patti says. “He was a deciding factor in choosing to have my shoulder surgery in Rawlins. I just didn’t want to be traveling back and forth for post-surgery appointments. Still, even after I chose Memorial Hospital of Carbon County, I was still wondering if I made the right decision.”

But all of Patti’s doubts disappeared the day of the surgery, which was performed by Dr. Darin Allred (right), a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. “I met my medical team before the surgery,” Patti says. “They treated me like a person, not a procedure. The care I received was professional, personal and complete. Thank you, Memorial Hospital of Carbon County! You have a great team, and I will not hesitate to recommend your hospital as a total care facility.”
