Better Sleep. Better Health. Better Days.

Sleep isn’t just rest — it’s essential to your overall health. Quality sleep supports how your heart functions, how your lungs work, how your brain processes information, and how your body heals and recharges each day. When sleep is disrupted, the effects can ripple across nearly every system, contributing to fatigue, cardiovascular strain, breathing issues, and decreased quality of life.

At the Sleep Center at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County, we help patients get real answers — and real relief — through comprehensive, connected care. We look at sleep not in isolation, but as an integral part of your total health.

Why Sleep Matters

Healthy sleep plays a critical role in:

  • Cardiac health: Poor or untreated sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, are linked to high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and irregular heart rhythms.
  • Respiratory health: Breathing interruptions during sleep can reduce oxygen levels, strain the lungs, and worsen conditions like COPD and asthma.
  • Brain function & mental health: Sleep impacts memory, concentration, mood, and emotional regulation.
  • Metabolic health: Inadequate sleep is associated with weight gain, diabetes, and hormonal imbalance.
  • Daily energy & safety: Excessive daytime sleepiness increases the risk of accidents at work and on the road.

Because sleep touches so many aspects of health, effective care requires a collaborative, whole-body approach.

Comprehensive, Connected Care

Our Sleep Center collaborates closely with cardiac care and respiratory therapy services to support your health on multiple fronts. This integrated care model helps us better identify underlying conditions, customize treatment plans, and support lasting wellness.

We’ve partnered with Rural Sleep Solutions to provide both in-lab sleep testing and at-home sleep testing right here in our community.

  • In-Lab Sleep Testing: Performed in our ACHC-accredited testing facility with advanced technology and trained sleep professionals to closely monitor your sleep patterns in a controlled setting.
  • At-Home Sleep Testing: A comfortable option that allows you to sleep in your own home while we monitor your breathing with a portable kit. Complete instructions and support are provided.

A board-certified sleep physician interprets test results and works with your provider to design a treatment plan that fits your unique needs.

A Message from Our Sleep Center Leadership

“Sleep health doesn’t exist in isolation — it’s deeply connected to how your heart and lungs function every single day. By bringing sleep medicine, respiratory therapy, and cardiac care together, we’re able to look at the whole patient, not just the symptoms. Our goal is to help people breathe easier, sleep better, and ultimately live healthier lives.”
